2022-23 Budget & Prospects for the Indian Economy

Indian economy suffered a sharp decline in 2020 due to Covid-19-induced lock-downs. Its GDP fell 7.3% that year. But it has recovered handsomely the following year, growing 9.2%. The IMF projects India as the fastest growing major economy in the next two years placing its growth forecasts at 9% in 2022 and 7% in 2023.
